I have a late 40s Bendix Aviation Marine 2 cyl that was factory converted to use a thru the hull shaft.

My Grandfather worked for the transmission company that has the forward and reverse gear.

Surplus to me, but I know little about it

      .

      Thoughts? Howard in East Texas

I know nothing about the Bendix inboard motors, but have a couple of Bendix outboards.
I do have a couple of photos regarding the inboards though.
What was the name of the transmission company?

        Bendix-Inboard-at-Pottstown

        Prepare to be boarded!

Thanks or the article and the picture.

The Snow-Nabstedt Gear Corp. also known a Joe’s Gears. There is a story behind the name change to Joe’s and back.

I would lie to get this out of my garage in East Texas, please.

If you are eager to get rid of it (I interpreted “I would like to get this out of my garage” as such, sorry if that is not the case), I would probably be content to pay for shipping to Wisconsin (as long as the shipping is not ridiculous).  email me at nathankillian46@gmail.com.  I was not able to find anything about this motor.

"Outboards seem to multiply exponentially..........I find that for every finished project, there are two more waiting to be completed."
