Bendix Eclipse

Does anyone have a parts diagram for an Eclipse single?  I’m having trouble remembering one part of reconstruction.  Should have taken a photo, but…. It’s the shaft that hold the motor to the transom mount.  It goes in from below, but I can’t figure out what made it stay in place!  There are no threads on it at the top.

The service manual is not very helpful since it’s not an exploded view.  It’s just a diagram of individual parts.  The diagram shows, in this order, swivel bracket, a rubber bushing, a sleeve, a cotter pin, and a nut, presumably from top to bottom.
