Some of you may remember my pristine 9.5hp mdl 9622a at $50
well costs are up I just picked one up for $75 🙂 ( somebody’s father in law motor)
this is my next winter project
Found it on KIJIJI for $100 after 34 min. post .It was 30 minutes away so I rushed over paid the man an agreed upon $75
Walls are smooth , missing a low speed adjustment knob 😥prop, skeg ,starter everything looks ok incl. the infamous powerhead rubber mount.
Figured I did ok (just the choke knob is a totally obscene $116 U$ 😯 !!! at the dealer )
will be doing further inspections (comp. coils, etc….) and will report back with pics

I too like the 9.5’s. I think a lot of folks give them a bad rap. Once you get used to them they aren’t so bad to work on. Just takes a bit longer for some of the basic repairs. The obscene prices some of the parts command are crazy, but that is becoming more common across the board.
Keep saving them!
