Boat upholstery

What would you think this piece of boat upholstery should cost to recover and staple.  All white.  Simple as possible?

$500 or more, if done by a professional. That’s my guess. Did you get an estimate?

My neighbor’s brother-in-law had a ’90s Sea Ray, 18 feet. Animals got under the shrink wrap and ate into almost every piece of upholstery left in the boat. The insurance company totaled the whole boat, which was in perfectly good, fresh water mechanical condition.

Long live American manufacturing!

I was afraid of that.. this boat isnt worth $2500 .. no way $500 is going into it.  It won’t change the sale value one red cent.. just lost money.  I’ll either just omit the pad or find a way to cover it myself. I’ll post some pics of my solution some day.

I think upholsterers are complete rip-off artists (which is perfectly fine this is America, since no one wants to do that job:  the price is high) ..

The only strange part is that I can get the Staples out and I could ship the entire old canvas cover stuffed in envelope for $10 And some professional could.. mail me a new one back for a reasonable price .  I could staple it on.

This service doesn’t seem to be available… With the way the internet is moving with work at home and such this should be a no-brainer.
