hello, i have recently seen a book pop a couple times on the forum but i can’t remember what it was .just wondering if some of you can recommend some good books about antique outboards. i already have the old outboard book.thanks
The Classic Outboard Motor Handbook has a lot of good info, especially if you are relatively new to the hobby. It has excellent color photos. It’s written by Peter Hunn, who also wrote the Old Outboard Handbook, but it’s 100% different. I don’t know if the Classic book is in print anymore, but you may find one on E-Bay or craigslist. The front cover below gives a list of some of the stuff in it.

my favorite was CHEAP OUTBOARDS it covers mid 50s to early 60’S oldies combined with a few good utubes it will help you get your beauty back on the lake for years as a purring troller or a great back up to a modern hard to fix engine 🙂
Here is a three volume set that I really like. They are a collection of articles written by an AOMCI club member. Lots of history and short story’s. I think you can get them from Amazon.
