      I’ve seen lots of colored coils before but never brown ones. These are in a ’58 Johnson JW which has a spark issue and are marked ‘Echlin or Ecklin IC2002’. Has anyone ever seen these before?

        Seen lots of Echlin coils, don’t remember what colors though. Echlin was sold by NAPA Auto Parts stores. Don’t know who actually made them, but they worked.

          I remember brown Echlin coils. FrankR is correct. NAPA sold Echlin ignition components for all kinds of stuff. I have a small driver coil I just got in a parts lot. #581130 I think? It’s Echlin brand. This was long before NAPA just started selling Sierra parts.

            Echlin used to have a very broad range of ignition parts. Points for almost anything one could imagine….etc.
