It’s damp and wet outside and the garage is drafty and unheated so I’m just going to sit and think about it for a bit.

Maybe the Koban, maybe the McCulloch. I got a call yesterday from a guy cleaning a house out. He says there’s about forty old motors in it and he wants them gone quick. Guess I better make some room in the back of the truck first.

Winter? Bring it on.! I’m ready!

Michigan weather has already sent Snow Birds Southward. Thins out traffic up here.
Seems to have opposite effect down in Florida. Our loss is Florida’s gain. Spent last
few days raking leaves…tomorrow snow showers maybe…weather forecasting in
Michigan best done by looking out window to see for yourself…never mind the blonde

Hmm traffic didn’t thin out up here at all. A little 3 -5cm snowfall turned my morning commute from 45 minutes to 3 hours. I’m stuck for winter projects – haven’t found any motors I want to work on locally all year. Sooo – I bought some trashed Kawasakis …

My biggest problem now is ethics. Can I use my Senior’s discount when buying parts for a mid life crisis? Oh my!
Any leads on a 1939 Fleetwin in eastern Ontario?

                I love bikes !
I come from France, and used to restore old bikes from 1930 to 1950.

There’s no such old bikes here in Canada, and in fact it’s the reason why I started having fun with old outboard 🙂

My Winter projects likely will be my still incomplete Summer and Fall projects including:

                  KH7
                  KG7
                  KF5
                  KE4

I am hoping to learn by experience the measuring of bore of cylinder and piston using the cool new tools that have just arrived.

I have to look into why I lost forward gear in my 58 Johnny 10. Thinking about tossing it on the rack and picking up a mint looking 59 10hp I’m eying instead. Too many projects. Have to complete the resto on my old Lincoln arc welder, replace the boat trailer trailer wheel bearings and get to my cedar boat resto….and house reno….and….and…Ei yi yi

and I really appreciate it Scott 🙂 , if wasn’t for guys like you helping me out all the good motors would still be up north and I would have to live up north! By the way it’s going to be in the 80s three days this week….. 😉

I picked up a basket case rowboat motor and this was buried in the bottom of the crate.

Probably take me all winter to figure out WTF it’s for….. then end up using it for a door stop……

He's livin' in his own private Idaho..... I hope to go out quietly in my sleep, like my grand-dad did..... and not screaming, like the passengers in his car...
