Anyone ever hear of a BSA outboard. Someone on Etsy has one for sale that he made a lamp out of. motor is older, but I don’t see any lower end in his pictures. I have a BSA motorcycle and bicycle, never heard of a outboard.https://www.etsy.com/listing/214377011/t

Maybe an inboard instead of an outboard? Look at the coupler on the output shaft.

If you have too many, AND not enough, you're a collector.

              Maybe seller is just clueless.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

looked like maybe inboard, or lawn equipment, interesting. I didn’t know they made small engines except motor bike stuff.

I guess they did make cars, from 1907 to 1936, in 36 they went to front wheel drive and brought Daimler, I’m sure the war ended that. wouldn’t surprise me if they made outboards, but probably inboards, they seem to be into building anything power related.

Before 1950, just about everyone entered the outboard motor market. Even National Pressure cooker company: Martin
If you could put an outboard motor name on a blender, it would have passed as well. 😀
