OEM kits from the dealer is preferred ! some dealer kits DO NOT HAVEA FLOAT so check what you buy !!!
some China kits have orange goo gasket known to melt away and needle seats have a wrong thread.
unless something is broken or missing a good cleaning with carb cleaner and air blasting usually does it. adjust the float level with the carb body, don’t spray carb cleaner on the float. use safety glasses
the float if not to bad can be sanded a bit and “painted” over with crazy glue and dried. … don’t smell the fumes and protect eyes and lungs.
when done do a blow test … air goes in right side up and air DOES NOT go in upside down. This test checks the float and needle seating properly
to service your oldy this is the best book for 20$ … covers all you need just download and print locally double sided and spring bound with plastic cover sheets . Save the file on your laptop or PC
