      Hello all,

can I put a, AJ32A on a KF7 ? I don’t know the KF7 carb number. The AJ32A is from a KG7 that (I think I ruined by getting way to hot had a problem with the cooling system. When I put the quince pipe on.) is that the correct number/carb?

      Thanks for your input

It certainly will bolt up, but maybe not have all the mixture screws line up with openings in the cowl..if you run the cowl…how could it have ruined it?

Not concerned with cowl now, just want to get it running. So it should work fine, just do normal adjustments?

Thanks for the number. Do you know if the aj32a will work on the kf7?

The aj29a carb high speed jet is leaking gas and won’t stay on the adjustment.

So to your question “how I ruined it” I’ve been trying to go faster and louder so I got the KG7 it was going good tuned up finally got all the gunk out of the tank after more than few cleanings the carburetor kept getting clogged. So next was the quickie and the quince exhaust pipe I found the pipe before the quickie. Put the pipe on made new gasket looked ok. Put it in the lake it starts right up and leaking around the gasket so I let it run down the lake for a minute or less thinking new gasket needs to get seated or something and it stopped leaking. Game on! Throttle down! Sounds great! The guys at the boat launch were quite surprised when I started. Run around the lake for a bit 5-10 minutes starts sounding funny skipping or hesitating like rrrrrskiptin then go I look back and the motor is hot! I turned back the docks skipping and popping the motor slowed the stalls. So that’s why I think I ruined it.

From your description I don’t think the carburetor is your problem. Actually I’m sure its not your problem.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one that done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.
