      Had intermitent spark on #2 cylinder tried a few other options and no go.Pulled mag plate off and noticed a small piece missing.Will this affect it in anyway. This is the cylinder that had bad spark. Thanks for your time. Russ.

            just for looks alone………. you can probably JB Steel weld it back in shape. Aluminum color fingernail polish is nice 🙂

              The broken piece itself won’t affect spark on that cylinder…I guess the question is just how did it get broken? I’m guessing someone was prying on the mag plate while trying to remove the flywheel. I would examine the mag plate very closely to make sure it is not bent or distorted in some way that could affect coil alignment and breaker point positioning…
