Hi, I have two Champion 400 S4G’s, one parts motor and one that supposedly runs but I have never run it. I am planning to refurbish the runner this winter but have no repair manual for it. I do have an Instruction and Repair Parts Manual. I was wondering if a repair manual even existed and if anyone could help me get a copy. If I can’t find a manual I plan to do exploratory surgery on the parts motor in order to figure out how things work. Any help locating a repair manual would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

That Champion, being pre-war, was made by Scott-Atwater and is very similar to same period Scotts, so a Scott-Atwater repair manual may suffice. After WWII, Champion designed and built their own motors.

Get in touch with Harry Nicholson. I gave him some Champion manuals some time ago.

I also have a Champion. It doesn’t seem a complicated motor but would be happy to have a manual if there is a source.
