      How do you control the HD should the HD lever move the back with the motor off ? I just got a 2LHD running but it won’t go in HD.

        What kind of lube is in the gear box? Should be something like 90 wt gear oil.

            Check into the fiberglassics library. There is service information on the hydrodrive there. I just bought a Champion 4.2hp hydrodrive and it seems to have the same problem. Maybe running on a boat under load may help. Good luck, hope the impeller on yours is good as i’m trying to find one i can make work on this one.
