Found an antique motor. Good shape and was told it runs. Ser.# S1E 14904. Anyone have any information on that motor to share?

1939 2.9 HP @ 3600 RPM. Sold New for $39.95. Propeller 7 1/2 x 6 1/2 two blade. Gap points at .015″. Spark Plug is Champion #7, which, if I remember right is now a Champion D-16. SPark plug gap is .027″. Weight 31 pounds without gas. Gas/oil mix is 3/4 pint to one gallon, which is approximately 10 to 1.

Champion did not design and build their own motors until after WW2 (1946). Your S1E was made by Scott-Atwater and a lot of Scott parts interchange.
