Champion Remote Gas Tank

I’ve been going through remote gas tanks lately, so I pulled
this Champion tank down off my trophy self to dust off
and look at closer.

Was there any other Champions besides, “maybe” the Sweet 16,
or tandem 32 that this tank would have been used for?

It has some “gunk” in it, and it appears the only access hole
is a small round one under the filler cap, and maybe a similar
hole under the other side of the handle.
Back on the shelf it went after dumping some motor oil in it
and sloshing it around.

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a 15 hp Champion,
at least not in person. Sounds like one that
needs “fixed up”.
I’m guessing there’s not many of the outboards
or those remote tanks around.

If it’s for the sweet 16 I may be interested in buying it for the sweet 16 I have that does not have a gas tank.
