I have used them with success some don’t like them being Chineese presumably. Their needle and seat don’t fit to well for some reason so I just use floats, needle packing, top plugs etc…
Carb kits seems more an issue with fuel gaskets melting into orange goo.
I’ve used the Chinese pumps several times with no problems but I’ve also had one that was no good right out of the box and another one that crapped out after just a couple of hours running time.

I think this solution is the best approach to have OEM OMC pump. I will buy the Chinese Pump and OMC pump repair kit. Then put the OMC part on the Chinese housing.
Now I will have OMC pump! with the cost less than purchase OEM.
well they are the only mecanical components aside from the nitrile gaskets, springs and mushrooms . I think most failures are likely gaskets not the valves but…. Murphy lurks
