Mine is a oily mess. Replacement elements not available.
Does anyone have a method to clean (possibly soak in Dawn dish washing liquid), or know of a substitute replacement element material?

if you are going to wash it with dish soap use another brand i find Sunlight to be the best.You can not even wash the grease off your hands with Dawn.

if petroleum products like paint thinner , diesel fuel won’t damage the item why not just rinse it out with those or..plain gas and then blow it dry
