Air cooled engines typically run hotter than water cooled outboards. The TCW3 outboard oil is not made to run at air cooled temperatures and it will not lubricate adequately. Using standard TCW3 in an air cooled 2 stroke is asking for trouble. Different oil formulas for different purposes. Always follow the recommendations
