GOOD MORNING ITS MAY23/2021….I JUST BECAME A MEMBER AND WAS INTRODUCED TO YOUR FORM
BY T-MIKE VINTAGE MOTOR.I NEED HELP IN FINDING A REPLACEMENT COIL FOR THE TN-26 5HP.

you can go BRP $$$$$ but I always use chineese coils $ and found them to work fine. some disagree but I had no issues

locate the US site as these are in CDN $$$ shipping likely to be lot less… US to US destinations

some chineese sites have free shipping but have longer delivery times… and it seems there are fewer willing to ship free shop around 🙂

the coils that are needed have wide mounting bases….also plug wire are sod to the coil…modern day coils will not work
for the reason there’s no way of rerouting the plug wires to the secondary winding on the modern coils

HA! true my bad… common coils started TN27…. which is what I have 🙁

Danny as a new member you have access to down load the bible on oldies

go to MEMBERS ONLY INNER SANCTUM LIBRARY search for Garry’S drop box go all the way down the pictures find the RED JOHNSON manual & just download it to a PDF file then print it out to service your TN and your next oldies

to print such a large manual I used a local print shop… gave them the file on a USB and they printed the book and spring bound it for easyreading

download the RED johnson manual to proceed & adjust the ignition !!

TN26 have wider laminates and shape as you pointed out !

GARRY I DOWN LOADED THE MANUAL…THINKS. WHAT I NEED IS TO BUY A COILS OR A LEAST ONE…
ONE COIL IS BAD.WOULD YOU BY CHANCE KNOW OF SOMEONE WHO MAY HAVE ONE FOR SELL OR
