Who knows something about Columbia Propellers? Did they go out of business? Merge with another company? I can’t find much about them online. I want to know what propeller D6P5R fits.

I was told that is not a valid Columbia propeller number. It is 6 inches diameter and 5 inch pitch with a shaft diameter of 9/16 inches.

Direction of rotation and shaft size will rule out a lot of possible motors. Date company closed will eliminate later motors. Pitch and Diameter of prop
          will indicate boat type.
A Columbia catalog might be the best source if available and if your prop is in that year’s catalog.

I have a Columbian catalog from 1960. It is marked No. 11 so they may have started in 1950.  They were in Freeport Long Island, NY

There is no listing for any 6″ diameter props. It only shows props for Johnson, Evinrude, Scott McCulloch, Gale Buccaneer, Oliver and Elgin.
