Going to convert fuel line on 1957 35hp Johnson to fuel pump with single line, for convenience. Question is can any fuel pump be used, or certain size only? I thought I remembered that there was a topic about it, How to convert double to single fuel line, that mentioned what style or model fuel pump  etc, that I read about, was either on AOMCI forum’s, or Antique Outboard Magazine. Been looking for this article for quite some time, so who better to ask but AOMCI. Thanks, Gene.

see this installation .. just drill a bypass cover and mount the pump over it with proper seal  so the crankcase pressure pulse will reach the rear of the pump. .    plug the now unused air supply going to the 2  line tank  connector and install a  single line side connector. .

route the new fuel connector (engine side)  to the PUMP IN   and   PUMP OUT  goes to to the carb ! .

Your best bet is to update the top bypass cover to a newer style where the fuel pump would mount.  Then use a decent OEM fuel pump…
