I am considering putting a new decal on the tank on my Bendix twin. The decal that is available is a water slide type. My question is will this work on the bare aluminum tank, or should the tank be prepped somehow first. I would probably clear coat the decal area when finished, but will take any and all advice. Thanks.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

          Tubs,

The compound curve issue may prove to be a challenge. Gotta try though.

          Thanks.

Martin SIG leader Russ Larsen has experience applying water slides to compound surfaces. The rear Martin decal is applied to a double compound surface. His web site may have info or call him he is very helpful.
