ISO a good source for quality decals for antique outboards. Some that I’ve received in the past were quite flimsy and tore apart while trying to apply them.  Particularly looking for decals for the 1955 Evinrude model 7518 that I’m currently restoring. TIA!

If they tore while applying them, they were probably waterslide. To solve that, before submerging them in water, use clear coat and “mist” the decal. This will prevent the separation of the decal during installation.
The vinyl don’t do that, but they just look different. Which you use is up to you…

          Here’s a few sources:

          outboarddecalset.com

          americanoutboard.com

The decals from American Outboard are water slide lacquered decals, the others are vinyl decals with a backing paper.
