I used a pair of these same tacks for twin ’56 Javelins, and had to extend the wire up to the dash also.
Interesting observation; both tacks would read, even with one engine shut down. Some sort of induction between the individual leads I suppose?
I’ve re-routed the wiring, one to each side of the boat and will try again.
