I’m about two or three days from completing the restoration of my Grandpop’s outboard. I picked up a new coil to replace the old one, but the one thing I missed taking pictures of was how the coil was wired.

Anyone know how to wire one? I can supply pics of what I have if it helps

I’ll pull the flywheel off mine and take a pic later.

          Thank you sir.
I think I have it correct, but I’m not 100%

It’s not that difficult to do, but you want to make sure before you have to take it apart again.

I’m not sure if this will help but the Power Products motor I have is a ’52 AH-47 stationary with a Phelon-Repco mag on it. There’s only one wire coming out of the coil and it is hooked up to the same terminal the cap is hooked up to. No kill switch wiring either as this motor has the springy thing you push to short out the spark plug.

Strange, same ignition system as mine, but mine has what looks like a ground cable on the coil.

I do have a kill switch on mine, I think I need to wire that to the coil so it grounds?

              Thank you for the help
