Does anyone here watch youtube on their smart tv? I set up my new 4K Samsung 60" TV, and discovered that you can watch youtube on it. I watched some Mark75 videos full screen….what an experience!! I’m not sure that this is the right forum for this…..but I did start with a question…lol
Anyway, this technology is great!!

January 7, 2017 at 12:34 am #50502I wish i could justify a smart tv, but the dumb 10 year old tv I have still works fine. Maybe when the projector bulb burns out I will bite the bullet.
I like YouTube . As well as enjoying and learning from members videos, I’ve saved lots of money because of watching furnace repair and wheel hub replacement videos 😀

You can bring up youtube on your computer and with a adapter cable connect the computer to the tv and watch on the big screen.

January 7, 2017 at 2:33 am #50512Just grab a Ruku box at Wal Mart and plug it into your TV and you will have a Smart TV. The TV must have HDM sockets for this to work, as well as Wi FI in the home. I hooked one up to mine and get Net Flix, You Tube, etc.
January 7, 2017 at 2:36 am #50513Very nice to have a smart tv. Mine is dumb unfortunately but hey its old and maybe soon it will konk out !!
January 7, 2017 at 4:28 am #50523Yes, the new TV’s are great. I watch youtube on it.
It does present real challenges for the team putting the new website together. At one time you only had to set it up for a PC, now the New AOMCI website has to function on PC, Smartphone, Tablet, TV, Gaming Station, wide screen, square screen… on and on.
When doing our chapter website….. I thought who cares if it doesn’t work on other formats, then I looked at user stats and was shocked that PC is less than 50%, and that is looking at outboards.
January 7, 2017 at 4:43 am #50524No need for a smart TV to watch Youtube. Most last-gen gaming consoles will get youtube, netflix, all sorts of stuff. Add in boxes specifically designed for it like the Roku, Amazon Fire Stick, Google Chromecast, you don’t need a smart TV
Wife and I have a Roku 4, cut cable about a year ago, now we pay about $20 and get all of the shows we used to watch and most of the channels we want. If there’s a football game on we go to friend’s or a bar.
