Well, maybe the thread lock hasn’t cured yet and it will come apart….but don’t destroy the cup trying. Heat softens that stuff and will expand the aluminum housing a bit. Gasket sealer on the outside of the seal is not a bad thing, really. It’ll be fine.

Not sure how you guys do this but installing the new impeller into the housing was a bit of a pita . The only thing I came up with was to squeeze a zip tie around it and get the fins pointed the right direction. The push into housing .

Well I got the water pump installed  and snugged up . Once again looking at my accomplishment when I realized the water intake tube needed to kinda go in before the top housing goes on . I guess the first time was just practice .. Finally got it all back together and was smart enough to not turn the DS any during the process so the impeller key lined back up with no problem ..

Im gunna go cut the grass now .. It’s less aggravating ..LOL !

Cutting grass is one of my favorite things: There is no simpler way to make order out of chaos.

All together now . It’s getting set to the side now . Will be digging into the rest of the motor soon . First I have to change impeller and go through carb on a 3 hp folding Evinrude . 1965 I think . Thanks for the help !
