I have a 3.5 hp Elgin/Scott outboard. Model 574.60021 1964 vintage. The carb. is the problem. It has a Walbro LMG-159. I have tried to purchase a overhaul kit for the carb. All my sources have come up with NLA. The carb float bowl shut off needle sticks in the closed position i.e. no gas to the carb.
It is one of the rubber tipped needle valves. Repeated cleaning has not helped.

MY QUESTION: Does anyone know if there is a different brand carb that will work on this engine ? or a good source for Walbro parts.
      Any help would be appreciated.

      Thanks

      John

Look for a Tillotson AJ16A. That is what was used before the Walbro was introduced.
