After going through a Mercury pressure tank, two OMC pressure tanks,
plus a spare head for one, I decided to look around at what others I got.
Yikes, found two more pressure tanks, plus one I knew I had, that I’ve
      been using for years.

I then checked out two identical single line tanks, except one is
sporting an Elgin decal, the other a Firestone.
Both are labeled to mix 1/2 pt / gallon, (16:1) but the Firestone says for
      over 30 hp, mix 3/8 pt / gal. (20:1).

Any clues as to what year and HP motors they might be for?
Each tank hose connectors are identical, and look like they’d
attach to a connector similar to a Mercury or Scott with a 1/4 turn
      twist connector.

I did try hooking up the hose to one barb I had labeled as “Scott”, but
the end that goes into, and past the O-ring was too long to be able
to connect to the lock pins.

I presume that these tanks are for Scott made motors seeing how the
      one is label Firestone.

      Any ideas? Thanks.

Growing up we had a 1965 Sears Ted Williams 7.5 hp. I believe they were made by Scott-Atwater/ McCulloch. It had a aluminum 1/4 turn fuel line fitting that looked like your fitting in picture.

Thanks Gary, I finally found an early 60’s Elgin,
I think 7.5 hp, on Youtube, showing the exact same
          connector.
Hard to find photos of them, as I’m guessing most have been
switch out for more common connectors.

Thanks, I must have one of the Merc small
              fitting to try somewhere!
