Hello, I have a small green water cooled 2.5 HP Elgin outboard with a serial number 401-21598. Can anyone tell me the year and manufacturer of this motor. Don’t think it’s a West Bend because they start with a different prefix.

The only 2.5 hp I see on this list is a 1946.

It’s a 1946 by West Bend. Note the model number 58401. I used to have one.
