Hello All. I am trying to restore an Elgin 7.5 model 57158781. It has a Tillotson MD100A carb. I am having difficulty finding out how to connect the carb to the fuel tank.  I have a screw on petcock valve, but the carburetor connection looks to be a push on. I have a screw on petcock fuel valve however,
this obviously it will not work.

I have included photos for reference. Any help finding this part would be appreciated. I am also looking for the front fuel valve plunger.

Thanks for your help. This should be the last step in the rebuild or at least I hope so.

According to Tillotson data, that is the correct carb for your motor.
I recently worked on a Clinton outboard carb that had a push in fuel
fitting that was missing, so I made one.
Was the shut-off / petcock original in the front of the motor on that model,
or back on the gas tank?
Look on Ebay or advertise on the free ads on this site, for a parts carb.

If memory serves correct, that would take a standard flare adapter.  Sorry, but you’ll have to do the homework yourself.  This might get you off in the right direction.  Or not.

        Hi there

The fuel valve was st the front I believe. Definitely not the back

        Thanks for responding.

I think it may be a more of a fuel manifold type of connector.

Thanks for your help. The part maybe an oddball part for that year only. I will keep looking.
