1967-37? I believe they were only built for five years, 1936-40 and I have one of them, a ’38 model 4256.

Woops, Kids climbing on me while I’m typing. 36-37. 4145. Just wondered since it was the smallest hp ace they made. Any if there’s a lot of them I might have luck finding a tank. The tank I bought it with is really rough.

The Elto Ace was developed from the 1934 1.5 horse Evinrude Sportsman. It was rated at 1.4 horse power in part to justify the lower price. Later models used an improved gear case which did away with the piston type water pump in favor of a two stage centripetal type. So the gear case parts are backward compatible while fuel tanks are forward compatible. I could not find a list for Elto production, but it probably was as non-informative as Evinrude’s list. . . 😆

Post Script – The Ace uses the same piston rings as the Lightfoot and are readily available
