      I have a boat motor stand that is identical to ones I have seen for Evinrude / Altoe but this one has a smaller head and only has ELTO in the casting. Could this be one that Ole had produced before he re acquired Evinrude ?

        Yes, I think that’s correct. I got one with a 1928 Elto Quad that was said to be with motor since new. It does not have the "drip pan" cast into bottom like the Evinrude/Elto ones do.

          True – they are rare and usually go for more than the later Evinrude/Elto models, Although neither is considered common.           . . 😉
