The motor assembly attaches to the drive shaft tube with a half round bracket below the motor using two small philips head screws. What can be used as a sleeve inside this bracket that will allow the bracket to tighten against the tube but still allow the motor to turn. When I looked to see why the motor was rocking slightly, I found that a previous owner had wrapped electrical tape around the tube several times inside the area of the bracket. Whatever might have been there originally is gone. If the correct part is available or a good alternative, where can I find it or what do you suggest? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don’t work on anything elto but I am a cobbler of sorts.   I have found many uses for the rubber flap that drags on the ground on the back of a rotary lawn mower.   It is made of a stiff rubber about 1/8 thick.  Maybe it will be what you need.

          .

A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.
