Yes Mr. Tubs, I watched that video several times but it does not seem to answer why the pawl is not hitting/moving the cam.

Can you please tell me what could cause that, or am I just missing something?

      Bill.
The video you posted showed that after watching my
video you still didn’t have a good understanding of
      how the timer operates.
My video skills have improved a little since then.
I have made another that I hope better demonstrates
      how the timer functions.
I doubt there was anything wrong with your timer
but my first video didn’t make that clear to you.
The reason for the first video was to keep people from
getting in the mess your in. The hope is this addition
will clear things up for you and anyone else that is
looking to understand how these timers work.
You’ll find a timer at some point. It may take awhile
      and likely will be expensive.
I try to remember situations like this are a learning
experience and we often have to pay for our education.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one that done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

        Well done Tubs!

I have just looked at your new video and it shows very clearly how it works.

I’m sure will be a big help to folk.
