I just picked up an Elto Pal in really good shape, but someone dropped it at some point and busted up the exhaust tube pretty bad. Does anyone have recommendations as to where I can get a new tube? It looks like it’s just thin wall aluminum, and it should be pretty easy to find, but I don’t think there are very many metal suppliers around me

{ live in Western MA and there is a big metal supplier in Holyoke. Call metal fabrication shops and ask for a metal supplier. KNOW what size, specs you need for the piece. They might have some laying around, works for me.

The 1" thin wall aluminum tubing is hard
to find. I picked up a shower curtain rod
that was made out of it but it was a close
out, discontinued, item so I couldn’t get any
more. 1" thick wall is usually available
anywhere they have an aluminum rack.
It slides in the exhaust manifold fine
but you have to turn down the inside to
fit the lower unit. It withstands a bump
or two much better that the thin wall.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

Google Speedy Metals. They usually have a good assortment of thin wall Aluminum tubing. They had a nice match for my Elto Pal exhaust tube.

Thanks everyone, I actually just found an old broken lamp that had a length of brass just the right size, so I just need to cut it down to size and slide it in.
