I just picked up another Pal today, and it looks like it’ll run as is- good compression and spark, clean carb. The one problem it has is a kinked fuel line. Anyone know where I can get a new one or have one made? I can’t make it myself since I don’t have the tools.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

              Great write up Tubs.
Mike as Tubs said "you can do it" . It’s not that hard. Give it a try, the materials are all relatively inexpensive as, so it won’t cost a fortune if you screw up your first time.

I’ll give it a shot, but I think I’m going to have to order some pieces online. None of my local shops carry any of it

Lowes, Home Depot, Menards. All will have the fitting but probably not the copper line.
This is small town hardware store or farm store stuff.
Common size for Ice maker water line.

Actually I bought a coil of copper tubing at menards. Enough to make a few dozen fuel lines. In the plumbing section.

Ferrule is correct when used on tubing, referred to as grommets or eyelets when used to line holes. It uses quarter inch copper tubing. Ferrule is a adaptation of two Latin words meaning a small iron bracelet. . . 😉

Yep, Home Depot has it, too. They sell 1/4" tubing in the plumbing department with all of the other piping. I think I got ferrules off of eBay for a good deal. You can also buy spring-type bending tools that will prevent kinks:
