I picked up the newest addition to my collection today and it’s literally fresh from the barn. It is 1924 “C” model Elto Light Twin. The motor appears to be in good condition and the inside of the fuel tank looks fair. The motor has good compression and turns over nicely and the poppet valve works well. The motor seems complete except for a few little things. The gentleman I purchased the Elto from has had it in his barn for many years and decided to sell this along with a lot of other outdoor equipment. I could not believe he only wanted $50 for it. I insisted he take more money but he would only take $10 in addition to the $50. He was very pleased to hear that I restore these old motors and not turn them into planters. This motor should be a good runner.

Nice find, I have one myself. Be sure to clean and service the timer bushing & timer assembly,
as they can be quite fragile & break turning the motor over dry.

        Respectfully,

        Brook
