      I am restoring this motor.I have it down to "parade rest"and would like to paint the crankcase.It looks like dull silver to me.I’m sure you folks know the answer.Ken Hall

        Yes – Semi-gloss aluminum. Ole Evinrude called those his "Silvery" motors. . . 😀
