I recently purchase an Envinrude Elto 4253-07393 in good shape. I would like to have someone help me restore and/or get it running. Where do I need to go

Do you plan on doing the work yourself and just looking for tips on how to proceed?
If so, compression will need to be accessed as adequate, ignition gone thru,
and well a the carb / fuel system, at minimum.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one that done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

That motor is a very nice original example. I would not do anything cosmetically to it, other than skeg repair as Tubs has mentioned. It is worth more as it is!

              Nice tiller grip !

I have the Sea King version of the motor. Aside from cleaning the points, the only repair I had to make was to replace the carb needle packing.

Lower covers are hard to come by, but can be found.

DO NOT allow a welder to repair the skeg with the mechanicals still in the gear case, and ensure there is a really good heat sink to prevent the gear case from being deformed during the repair.

I want to find someone who will go threw it for me. I know basics of small engines but that’s it.

What would it cost for someone to show this thing some love a restore & find replacement skeg, clean it up and decal it?
