      Does anybody know the correct proper procedure to separate the motor from the bottom end on a 1.5 Evenrude 1802S ?

        You mean remove the powerhead?  Remove the six screws and lift it off. If you mean remove the lower unit gearcase, remove the two screws and pull it down and away.
