Hello everyone. I’m about to start a rebuild on a 1953-54 Evinrude Super Fastwin, model 15012. Seems to be in pretty good shape. Good compression and such. I know it is missing the back cowl latch, and I think that may be a part that is commonly missing with these motors. So I was wondering if anyone happens to have a pdf parts manual they wouldn’t mind sending me. Or if not, where one may be available to purchase for cheap. Thanks a lot guys.

Do you need the whole latch or just the clip? The clip is usually what breaks. Get the part number from marine engine.com then search eBay by part number. I found one there a few months ago but have since sold my motor kinda wishing I had kept it now.

FrankR – Thank you very much for taking the time to post that, it is much appreciated!
Weedless – I believe I will need the whole assembly. According to this parts diagram, it consists of several parts. I will try eBay like you mentioned – thanks.

Just picked up one of these myself. Its in beautiful shape. Only problem I’ve found so far is bad seals in the lower unit. If you happen to come across a digital service manual please share!

Jake11, start a new thread with your motor and needs, so there is not a confusion. I saw your post on tinboats.net and you have a nice looking motor. Pappy gave your great advice regarding fuel mix ratio and to post your inquiry on this site.
