Did Evinrude make a master service manual for the early 1950’s?
      I have a 1930’s to 1941 and 1955-1963 covered, but see nothing
for after WWII up to 1955.
Johnson manuals seem to be more prevalent.
      Thanks!

I have one that covers 49 through 54 and another that covers 52 through 63. I found one on line that covered the 1940s, but only copied the cover. When I went back a week later, it was gone. They didn’t get into the good individual model service manuals until the mid 1960s. . . 😕

Garry, good to know the Evinrude 1949 to 1954 manual exist.
I believe I have the same early manual that Frank does in digital
format. Not sure if I can email it or not, it’s 38.7 mb’s.

Crosbyman, regarding the kissing cousins and their differences.
I was particularly thinking about my 1952 Fleetwin 7.5 hp
with the neutral shift with the shift spring and some kind of
clutch washers on the prop shaft.
Did Johnson ever have a neutral shift?

The 5 horse model "TN" johnson had the neutral clutch . . . 😀

Well yeah, but. They work the same in concept, but the similarity ends there. Johnson clutch is on the drive shaft, Evinrude is on the prop shaft.

Frank, I forgot about those TN Johnson having neutral shift.
I have one or two on the rack that’s on my someday, maybe,
                      or maybe not list!
