      hey guys . working on the transom mount . i have it separated left and right sides . going to reassemble with a new rivet . any tips on flattening the new rivet ?

        You might have to make a rivet set to fit whatever size rivet you’re using.
        Good support under the rivet head, steel plate, etc., rivet set, good size
        hammer. Three hands might be helpful. Not sure what the original rivet
        was, but of course aluminum would mushroom down a lot easier than steel.
        I’m sure YouTube has info on Setting Rivets.
