      US MEMBER PAY BY CHECK

      I came across this “modern” Evinrude , 4 HP twin ,  I looked the model number and cannot cross ref the entire sequence. The BE4R seems to indicate  4HP and 1996 – 97. But cannot decipher the CCS part of the number ?  Anyone have a better reference chart ?

        US MEMBER PAY BY CHECK

        B=  Made in Belgium

        R= Evinrude

        4= Four horsepower

        R= Rope start

        CC= 1988 (code word INTRODUCES)

        S= indicates any mid-year changes if there were any changes, otherwise means nothing

        So, it is a 1988 4hp Evinrude.
