      Hi all,
      Is the L/U from a 1957 Fastwin (18hp) a "bolt for bolt" swap with a 1960 Fastwin L/U?

Yes, if replacing the whole thing. So is the ’58.

Check the shift rod length to make sure. You just never know. If the part numbers match, then you’re good. Otherwise you’ll have to open then up and swap them out. This is more of an issue going from early 50s to late 50s, but things changed after the 50s as well plus you don’t know, who’s done what in the past. Shift rods and drive shafts drive people nuts, when it comes to swapping these out. The gearcase will bolt directly, from 1955, to 1976 on the 22 cube motors.
