I frankly have no clue what is going on with this motor. copper coated cylinders like on folding sporttwin, open exhaust, and red fuel tank. The lower unit is not anything obviously fast compared to later motors. serial number is shown in picture, and fuel tank has some illegible writing on it that makes me think it was painted sometime before ww2, possibly in the late 20s when I think it was produced. Turns over good with compression and spark, and the bigger 7/8″ threads for spark plugs that are also on folding sporttwin. Pictured is also a picture of where the exhaust tubes sort of mount to what I’ll call the “manifold” for simplicity’s sake. I need to find a couple two three of the bolts/screws that might fit for this tube if this is a stock racer that might have a set screw size. The engine is about the size of a fastwin, but I would appreciate any information as to weather or not this is some sort of racer that was produced at the evinrude factory or more likely some sort of cottage racer.

He's livin' in his own private Idaho..... I hope to go out quietly in my sleep, like my grand-dad did..... and not screaming, like the passengers in his car...
