I have an Evinrude lightwin with out any tags, am looking for lower covers and lean rich nob, but I do not know the year to ask for, it has the removable recoil with four bolts on top, with the carry handle built into bracket under tank, went to brp web sight, to find year but did not find a match. looks to be mid eighties, still has points, and condenser.

Thanks for your help in advance!!!

Post a picture or a link to a pictures. Chances are it is a mid to late 1960’s motor if it has only one lean rich knob.

They built the metal tank Lightwin, from 1952 – 1967. 1968 was the only year the Lightwin was a 3hp with a fiberglass hood and remote tank. 1969, the fiberglass hooded egg beater was bumped up to 4hp

Hey when did omc start putting those I’d plugs on the 3 hp? I have a 3012 lightwin (1953) and it does not have one one the block.

Since the first one was built. If you have a missing one, it either fell out (which usually never happens ) or it was removed by a theif, to eliminate identity.
