Those small metal eyelets you get at craft stores works well for spark plug terminals. You may solder these to keep the single strands from sticking out.

M44c is the same heat range as J6J they were a good plug.I run sparky boots and Cj6 plugs in my 49 Zepher.If memory serves me I THINK they specifed J4J but said use J6J for extended trolling.
Good to know the Sparky boots working with the CJ6.
I don’t have any of those plugs for comparison, but
from the photos they look like a similar length as the J17LM.
