      I have a 1972 Evinrude 6hp that has the factory set needle valve.Can someone tell me abouy how many turns out I should start at? Seems almost closed. Thanks Russ…

        Russ, are you referring to the adjustable low speed needle valve at the top of the carb? If so, the initial setting is 1.5 turns out from gently seated….
